This piece came about when I was think about creating a collection of big cats (Camouflaged Big Cats) but on smaller canvas than I normally paint on. I wanted to evoke a range of emotions through colour, I tried to achieve a feeling of calm yet somewhat lugubrious piece, with a feeling of depth and mystery. The symbol of blue and purple layers are to stir these emotions, while the big cats hide, camouflaged amongst the large plants but they prowl with power and ambition
